Buffalo Mural Drum

For centuries, Pueblo drums have been painted with symbolic colors and designs to bring a special unifying power to tribal ceremony. Historically Native Americans used natural dyes and colorings gathered with Mother Earth to apply designs to their drum-heads. The Buffalo Mural Drums are special laced drums developed to allow our artists a 360 degree surface to create an endless sense of motion. This mural depicts a herd of carging buffaloes. On the 28, 32 and 36-inch sizes a village scene is also depicted.
